Just finished transcribing Mac file sheet #160 into my trivia archives. I had to tweak some old questions, refurbish or update others, contemporize still others--I changed a 'Frasier' question because I had a feeling no one would know who did the traffic reports at his radio station (Chopper Dave), so I put in a 'Two and a Half Men' question--and throw some other questions out completely, due to the question just being poor quality, or not being able to confirm the answer.

I found a decent website with about 2,000 questions to choose from. They're at about the right difficulty level, so I have to bookmark it until I'm done stripmining it.

Today, I got the kitchen stove and counters cleaned, swept the kitchen floor, did the dishes, and shoveled off the breakfast bar. I also made #2 son some Rice Krispies Treats, sans PB, and kicked his @$$ in four games of Scrabble. Then I entertained my niece for a short time before Spouse could spell me from that duty, wrote about a page of questions, continued stripmining question fodder from a book I bought recently, crashed on my bed a while (with a great breeze from my open window--it was a gorgeous 75 here today), and now I am back to question-writing, while checking the end of 'Thunderball' on BBC America (I love this network--but when's 'Torchwood' coming back?).

Someone mentioned to me that I should either write a book or make a game or something with all the questions I've written (12,000+ would be a decent estimate). I would, but I'd need a hook to make the book/game unique...otherwise, it's just like all the other books out there in that particular genre.

Snack du noir: PB sammy, with a Rice Krispies Treat chaser. Damn, I make those well.

Gotta enjoy this day off...last one for a month, until Presidents' Day.

Missed puns that didn't make the LJDQ cut this week, because germankitty is some people are just curious, in the same way that they slow down to see a car wreck or fight...

Q: Who is the "detective" in the Agatha Christie novels "The Moving Finger" and "The Body in the Library"?

A: I was a big Agatha Christie fan, until a fire ruined my collection. The Poirot novels were saved, but I lost my Marples.

Best of the bunch, with a high spousal groan factor, but I have a feeling others thought of it, too.

Q: Fun with lyrics! Name the song and the band:
I've never been in love
I don't know what it is
Only knows if someone wants her
I want them if they want me
I only know they want me

A: "Want-anamera"

Weaker pun, but still, I thought it would get in. Oh, well. *shrugs*

Q: Martha Cannary was better known as whom?

A: Calamity Jane, aka Cannary Whoa

Prolly lots of Cannery Row puns were submitted, so I'm not surprised here. I is still happys with my double quotages. XD
