Potpourri for the masses
1) I have to get on Millionaire. I haven't seen the syndie version, and since they just started showing the reruns on GSN, I have realized again that I would sooooooooo kick total ass on this show...or at least get to $32K with little problem. And the contestants on this version of the show have to use lifelines (sometimes all 3!) before $1K? I so need to get to NYC and try out. It's almost an imperative now.
2) Lost $60 at blackjack in under 15 minutes. The ice-cold streak continues. I played a total of 15 hands, winning 3 and losing 12. Didn't get a single natural 20, and the only double-down hand I had, dealer had a blackjack. So much for the 50.5% to 49.5% house advantage.
3) Tuesday night pub trivia LJDQ moment:
Q: Frequently used in Chinese cuisine, mung beans are actually native to what other Asian country?
A: (by a handful of teams) Mung-olia
