In the first six months of 2012, there have been:
18 LJDQs
112 questions asked
119 quizlings who went, played, and took quiz
1348.1124 quotages given to those quizlings by the Great and Powerful Quizmods, meaning that
74.8951 quotages were given, on average, to an average attendance of
35.1111 quizlings, which comes to about
2.13 quotages per quizling.

Doncha just love numbers? :D

Okay, here're the Top 5 (or so) in each of the major category stats for you fellow quizlings from LJDQs whose answers were given between 1/1 and 6/30 of 2012.

Want to know where you rank? Ask me.
Think I screwed up? Tell me.

Any constructive feedback is helpful, positive feedback is appreciated, and cash is perpetually welcome.

And now, more numbers! )

Here's the aggregate list of stats from the last 6.5 years of LJDQ goodness, for the period ending 12/31/10. The dates listed are those of when the answers were given.

I extended the lists of individual stats in order to recognize those who went, played, and took quiz, but never got into the rankings of any individual year. Top 20s all around!

And now, the culmination of thousands of enjoyably misspent hours )

These are they individual yearly LJDQ statistics. The All-Time Happy Fun Statpage will come around tomorrow, so I can make more extensive lists of individual statistics. For now, it's the rundown of each year, from 2004 to 2011.

Okay, before we start:

--The stats only include quizlings who got quotage, since I do not have access to who actually played. If you played the quiz for an extended period of time, and got no quotage, the solution is simple: be funnier!

--Streaks do carry over from the previous year. For example, if your streak goes for the first four weeks of '05, and the last two weeks of '04, it still counts as a streak of 6.

--There are fractional quotages. If two people were on one quote, each got .5; if three people, .3333; if four, .25, and so on. Call it an encouragement to be unique. If a quizling is mentioned with "and others", the mentioned quizling gets .1 quotage, and the others get squat. The quiz, she is a cruel mistress.

--When all is said and done, I did the best I could. This is not infallible. There will be errors, albeit small, sprinkled, albeit hopefully sparsely, on my spreadsheet. I am only a one-person operation, and therefore, have no proofreader. If you have a dispute with my results, I suggest you organize your own set of data yourself, then come talk to me. Then get a life. :P

So, like, anyway, heeeeeeeeeeeeeere we go! )

Done!

Well, the numbers are all in, the quotages have been tabulated, the streaks are counted, the sums are summed, the averages are averaged (no mean feat *rimshot*), and the yearly stats have been separated.

So far, here are the stats I have planned:

Quizzes (overall and by year)--
--Total number of quizzes
--Total number of questions
--Average quotages per quiz
--Average number of quizlings quoted per quiz
--Greatest number of quotages for a quiz
--Greatest number of quizlings quoted for a quiz

Individual Quotage (or IQ, if you will)--
--Most quizzes quoted
--Most quotages
--Quality: greatest average quotage, when quoted (Quotage on min. 25% of total quizzes required)
--Longest quotage streak
--The Five Quote Club (non-Grande quiz only)

I also have the Grande quizzes (more than 7 questions) stat-i-fied. Hey, some people paint better with a larger canvas. The overall stats will be skewed slightly high because of these quizzes, but since they only make up 5% of all the quizzes (15 of 319 as of 12/31), then skew it--errr, screw it, I'm including them in the overall stats.

Did I miss anything?

I'm hoping to be done this weekend, latest, but I should have them up for perusal by Friday. Depends on what diversions life hands me in the next few days.

When this is done, I plan to highlight the purged/removed usernames, just to see how many active quizlings we've got out there.

One stat that may make you go 'hmmmmm'--there were only 310 quoted quizlings (because I have no idea how many actually played) in '10, as opposed to 504 in '09. That's a decrease of 38.5%. Quizling amounts have been fairly fluid, and it may be just a case of people leaving and returning to the quiz, like catching up with an old friend. The quoted quizling count dropped 17.1% from '05 to '06, and and another 14.9% from '06 to '07, before blazing back with a 30.2% increase in '08. And the number of quoted quizlings more than tripled in the first year alone, from about 250 in '04, to over 800 in '05.

All in all, this was a nice little month-long obsession, but I'm glad it's finally done. Now I can catch up on writing my own trivia questions, being a month behind in that little task and whatnot...

Go. Play. Take quiz.

FYI, LJDQ

i_calql8: (Default)
As of this quiz (1/11/11), the LJDQ is at 1992 questions. That means that question #2 on the 1/25 quiz will be the 2000th question you have asked. MILESTONE!

Just thought the mods would like a little heads-up, just in case y'all wanna prepare something speshul.

The good news is that you won't reach Q3K for another three or so years. Don't worry--I'll let you know when it comes around. That's what I do. :)

Please keep in mind that these stat involve bonuses only, not total quotage.

I figure this little statfest should be a yearly thing, so the changes from year to year are much more noticeable.

Any questions about where your favorite topic landed, bonuswise? You have but to ask.

In the words of Messrs. Bartles and James, thank you for your support.
