We need a quizling statistician who can go back and tabulate all +'s and -'s ever given. Because we're too lazy to do it ourselves.
![[livejournal.com profile]](https://www.dreamwidth.org/img/external/lj-userinfo.gif)
Sounds like a task for someone who likes math! ::looks around shiftily::
![[livejournal.com profile]](https://www.dreamwidth.org/img/external/lj-userinfo.gif)
But who likes math? To whom could we turn in such a dire time? Who would step up and say "I calculate like no other"?

Nice to be needed. :)
Well, after much painstaking compilation, eyestrain, and insomnia, I've accumulated, with as much accuracy as possible, the +1 and -1 stats, and the quizlings who earned them.
The basic stats:
Since the inception of the quiz, in 2004, there have been
--697 quizlings who have earned a +1 and/or a -1
--694 topics that earned quizlings a +1
--199 topics that have earned quizlings a -1
--108 topics that have earned other various and sundry (and arbitrary) values
The Double-Digit Club, all quizlings with a 10 or more plus-score:

Well, that's all I have for right now, statwise. If you have queries of your own, feel free to ask. If I can swing it, I'll find the answer. If not, well, the breath you used to ask will benefit plants anyway, so it's all good.
Carry/rock on, and be excellent to each other.

3. Enterprise should have more pluses!!
1. NICE JOB!!!!

One thing I noticed was that there were a lot of references to things, but since they never got a + or -, I couldn't count them on the list.
I'm currently also trying, off the top of my head, to find topics that were conspicuously absent from the lists of +1s and -1s. For instance, Scrubs, Glee, sports hate, and Justin Bieber are noticeably AWOL, among others.
You need to talk to CV about Enterprise--he's the one who slaps the -1 on Enterprise-quoting quizlings.
Thanks!

The one stat that I am curious about: how many times did the Brazilian Women's Beach Volleyball Team make an appearance? ;-)
Heh, kidding. And now that it's all compiled, you can keep on updating every week! How convenient! ;-)

Personally, call me crazy, I firmly believe the quiz needs more Allyson Hannigan. The quiz's signature redhead, doncha know (aside from our own
Oh, gawd, updating weekly? Well, I guess it's easier than updating every 6 years, huh?
Are there plans for the Commemorative 100th Geek of the Week Award? It's arriving fairly soon.
This statfest is actually done with expert timing--since there are no quiz results Monday (I'm assuming), this can be the quizlings' LJDQ fix. I love a captive audience. :D

There have been at least four other guest-mods (myself included), so, in order to keep my sanity, I stuck to just the current tribunal. Given more time, however, I could go back and re-calql8. :)
