After a six-game losing streak to #2 son, I not only beat him, I backgammoned him. And I left him on the bar, to boot. Backgammon players, you know how difficult that is to pull off...it's slightly easier playing acey-deucy, but still, it's not easy, and I managed to do it. ::iz smug::

Dallas beat the hapless 'Skins tonight, which means we'll be snatching the NFC East title from the Iggles next weekend when they invade the Big D. Sorry, [livejournal.com profile] angledge, but you'll hafta settle for wild card.

I was at the grocery store today, when I heard a song I thought I recognized from my listening to Pandora, on my smooth jazz station. Then I remembered I had a song-recognition device on my phone, so I found the quietest part of the store, near a speaker, and prayed that no one would ask for a price check in the middle of my inquiry.

After a few false starts, I found it. I knew I recognized it. It was a saxophonist by the name of Mindi Abair, and the song is "Bloom". This is fast becoming an all-time favorite of mine.

If you like smooth jazz, you'll love this song. Scroll down to the song title and click the Play icon on the right. You get one listen of the entire song, then you only get a 30 second clip...unless you do like I do and delete your cookies. Enjoy.
