Done!

Well, the numbers are all in, the quotages have been tabulated, the streaks are counted, the sums are summed, the averages are averaged (no mean feat *rimshot*), and the yearly stats have been separated.

So far, here are the stats I have planned:

Quizzes (overall and by year)--
--Total number of quizzes
--Total number of questions
--Average quotages per quiz
--Average number of quizlings quoted per quiz
--Greatest number of quotages for a quiz
--Greatest number of quizlings quoted for a quiz

Individual Quotage (or IQ, if you will)--
--Most quizzes quoted
--Most quotages
--Quality: greatest average quotage, when quoted (Quotage on min. 25% of total quizzes required)
--Longest quotage streak
--The Five Quote Club (non-Grande quiz only)

I also have the Grande quizzes (more than 7 questions) stat-i-fied. Hey, some people paint better with a larger canvas. The overall stats will be skewed slightly high because of these quizzes, but since they only make up 5% of all the quizzes (15 of 319 as of 12/31), then skew it--errr, screw it, I'm including them in the overall stats.

Did I miss anything?

I'm hoping to be done this weekend, latest, but I should have them up for perusal by Friday. Depends on what diversions life hands me in the next few days.

When this is done, I plan to highlight the purged/removed usernames, just to see how many active quizlings we've got out there.

One stat that may make you go 'hmmmmm'--there were only 310 quoted quizlings (because I have no idea how many actually played) in '10, as opposed to 504 in '09. That's a decrease of 38.5%. Quizling amounts have been fairly fluid, and it may be just a case of people leaving and returning to the quiz, like catching up with an old friend. The quoted quizling count dropped 17.1% from '05 to '06, and and another 14.9% from '06 to '07, before blazing back with a 30.2% increase in '08. And the number of quoted quizlings more than tripled in the first year alone, from about 250 in '04, to over 800 in '05.

All in all, this was a nice little month-long obsession, but I'm glad it's finally done. Now I can catch up on writing my own trivia questions, being a month behind in that little task and whatnot...

Go. Play. Take quiz.

So our regular quizzes are Tall, our above-average-size quizzes are Grande, which means our 10+ question quizzes must be Venti. Now I get it. ;-)

The Five Quote Club is a truly elite gang of crazies. Or lucky bastards. Or crazy lucky bastards. And I think there is one person, from waaaaaaay back when, who achieved the 6/6 statistic. Back when we only had 50 or so quizlings, heh.

2008 was the year we got featured on LJ Spotlight and went from 1500 watchers to 2200 watchers, with a corresponding jump in players. Those were some huge quiz grading days, boy howdy.

I was going with the Spanish motif, but I like the Tall, Venti, and Grande thing a lot better.

The one person you mention got a 5/5 on a five-question quiz, back in '04, iirc. But hey, 100% is 100%, amirite?

I thought you guys were in the Spotlight later than '08. Was it really that long ago? And get offa my lawn, you kids!

100% is 100%, no lie. That's some golden scoring right there.

And we were spotlighted in 08. Late 08, but still there. Coincidentally, those two weeks' quizzes had the highest response rates of all time...
