Most importantly, I got quotage on last week's LJDQ. Nice.

And if that's my highlight of the week, and it most likely will be, it will be at best a modest week.

Right now my biggest obstacle is keeping my teenage son out of trouble with the local gendarmes. Right now, El Obnoxio is costing me $50-100 a month in just court fees and probation fees. And, of course, none of it is *ever* his fault. He's a willful, foul-mouthed, selfish, mean kid, and I know he didn't get that way because of how I raised him. I love the kid because he is my son, after all...I just don't like him very much right now.

And blackjack actually turned out okay...the real eyebrow-raiser was when I split aces (which you always do), and actually got the faces to match them. A hand that actually went as planned--who'd have thought?

I actually tried something I had never done before. I made Rice Krispie Treats. I followed the recipe, and surprise of surprises, it came out okay. For those of you who've never done it, and are going to, a word of advice--butter all your utensils when you stir and put in the pan to cool. That marshmallow stuff sticks to f**king everything. Anyway, if an old man like me can do it, anyone can.

I'm finally breaking down and looking into DSL...I discovered pandora.com and it won't work worth bleep on dial-up. If it works, I may never buy another CD again.

I get the feeling I entered this before...chalk it up to, um, what's that condition called?--um...
