Here's the aggregate list of stats from the last 6.5 years of LJDQ goodness, for the period ending 12/31/10. The dates listed are those of when the answers were given.

I extended the lists of individual stats in order to recognize those who went, played, and took quiz, but never got into the rankings of any individual year. Top 20s all around!

Well, the numbers are all in, the quotages have been tabulated, the streaks are counted, the sums are summed, the averages are averaged (no mean feat *rimshot*), and the yearly stats have been separated.

So far, here are the stats I have planned:

I also have the Grande quizzes (more than 7 questions) stat-i-fied. Hey, some people paint better with a larger canvas. The overall stats will be skewed slightly high because of these quizzes, but since they only make up 5% of all the quizzes (15 of 319 as of 12/31), then skew it--errr, screw it, I'm including them in the overall stats.

Did I miss anything?

I'm hoping to be done this weekend, latest, but I should have them up for perusal by Friday. Depends on what diversions life hands me in the next few days.

When this is done, I plan to highlight the purged/removed usernames, just to see how many active quizlings we've got out there.

One stat that may make you go 'hmmmmm'--there were only 310 quoted quizlings (because I have no idea how many actually played) in '10, as opposed to 504 in '09. That's a decrease of 38.5%. Quizling amounts have been fairly fluid, and it may be just a case of people leaving and returning to the quiz, like catching up with an old friend. The quoted quizling count dropped 17.1% from '05 to '06, and and another 14.9% from '06 to '07, before blazing back with a 30.2% increase in '08. And the number of quoted quizlings more than tripled in the first year alone, from about 250 in '04, to over 800 in '05.

All in all, this was a nice little month-long obsession, but I'm glad it's finally done. Now I can catch up on writing my own trivia questions, being a month behind in that little task and whatnot...

Well, that was interesting. I finished cataloguing and updating prices on all my comics.

My Spidey #1 went up 9% in value, and my Justice League #1 went up 7%. Sweet. And those are with my coservative eye toward grading. Hopefully, they're in better condition than I think.

As predicted, I have over 8,000 comics in my collection, and it's growing like the Blob in the bowling alley. Well, maybe not that fast...I'm down to reading about a half-dozen comics a month. And I have a box of old comics, most of which are probably dross, that I still need to rebag and catalogue. Damned if I'm schlepping all the boxes back out, though...

My comic store's pull list is pretty much Astro City, Echo, Justice League, and Justice Society now. Any monthlies I should know about that I need to give a try? I've been catching up on The Walking Dead, which is admittedly pretty good, even though I'm not a fan of the whole zombie genre.

There's a potential trivia category for me! Hmmmmmmmmm...

First of all, thanks for the kind words from my fellow LJDQers in response to my statisticial pseudo-magnum opus. It's nice to be appreciated. Someday, I may actually make a quotage roster for Quizling Proper. But that's for another time.

Second, monsoons are here...just in time for the highs to reach 115 by week's end. Wonderful. The good news--we're two weeks from statistically the hottest day of the year. It goes downhill slowly from there. Slowly, but downward. Other good news...only eight more monsoon seasons to go before we retire and get the hell, as it were, out of here, and head for the cool, rainy Northwest.

Oh, and feel free to join my f-list, in case there is the astronomically unlikely event that my LJ seems interesting to you. The f-list gets the juicy, only slightly less-boring stuff of my life, aka the best rants, if there is such a thing.
